The 22-year-old Argentinian is not expected back in action until the new year after suffering a cruciate injury against Burnley in March. "The operation went well and we have been very pleased with the progress Luca has made," physio Matt Byard told the club's official website. "He came off his crutches after six weeks and had the splint removed as well. He has full extension in his knee which is excellent, and he has met all the goals we have set him. "He's currently back home in Argentina and will be returning early next month and will see a specialist then. He will assess the stability of the joint and if all is fine then we will look at some swimming and cycling work. "He won't be jogging before August, though, and we don't expect him back playing football again until the new year."
