Good news for Norris

Ipswich manager Paul Jewell has revealed captain David Norris could return to fitness within the next fortnight. Knee and ankle injuries curtailed Norris' contribution to Town's weekend draw at Barnsley and he remained on the sidelines as Jewell's men ran riot with a 6-0 thrashing of Doncaster on Tuesday night. It had been feared that the midfielder could be set for a lengthy spell in the treatment room, but a scan earlier in the week has alleviated those concerns. "We had a scan on Monday and results were as good as could have been expected," said Jewell. "He'll maybe be out for between 10 to 14 days. That's the initial prognosis. "We were a bit concerned but hopefully it's just a little tweak of the ankle and knee ligaments."
