Damien Delaney will be out of action for between two and three months after suffering ankle ligament damage during the defeat at Nottingham Forest. The Ipswich defender now faces a struggle to be fit in time for Town's pre-season campaign starting in June. [LNB]Manager Roy Keane told BBC Suffolk: "We wanted him to have a good rest in the summer but the injury rules that out." [LNB]Delaney, 28, impressed after moving to the centre-half position midway through the season. [LNB]Keane said: "The surgeon looked at it and we don't think it will require surgery, so he's just going to be in a boot and will rest and have treatment over the next few months. [LNB]"It's a big blow to us because Damien has dug deep with Gareth [McAuley, his central defensive partner] through some difficult months."
