David Wright Confirms Town Departure
Town defender David Wright has confirmed he will not be offered a new deal by the club after his current contract expires at the end of the June. Speaking to the EADT, Wright said: "I saw the manager on Tuesday and he said some nice things about me, but that he was looking in a new direction. I don't agree with his decision, but I have to respect it."In addition to David Wright other players out of contract in the summer include Richard Wright, Shane O'Connor, Pim Balkestein, Ed Upson, Jack Ainsley, Liam Trotter, Reggie Lambe, Troy Brown, Devann Yao and Ian McLoughlin.The club are likely to make a statement on the futures of those who will be staying and those who will be leaving on Friday.
