Civelli closer to return

Ipswich winger Luciano Civelli is itching to get back into the first team after he took another step forward in his comeback from a serious knee injury. The Argentinian has been out since picking up the injury in March 2009 but played 75 minutes in the reserves` 3-1 defeat by Colchester in midweek.

He said: "My knee feels fine and it was good for me to play longer this time. The most important thing is the knee is OK and I'm happy with that but I have to train hard every day to get better. "It's been frustrating being out for so long but I am closer now.

"I want to get back into the first team but I have to be patient and it will be down to when the gaffer thinks I am ready."
