Chief executive to leave Town post

Bowden joined Town in 2002 and led the club through a turbulent period as they recovered from Premier League relegation in 2003 and administration.[LNB]He also played a central role in the sale of the club to current owners, the Marcus Evans Group.[LNB]Owner Marcus Evans told the club's official website: "I am sure all fans connected to Ipswich will acknowledge the tremendous contribution Derek has made during his time in the post.[LNB]"During a very difficult time for the business, he has shown outstanding loyalty and commitment and I, like all supporters and stakeholders in the club, would like to wish him every success with the other opportunities he is leaving to pursue."[LNB][LNB]
