Bruce is the Wright choice

Manager Roy Keane confirmed on Thursday that Bruce has been handed the captain's armband on a permanent basis after Gareth McAuley was dropped for the last two fixtures. Wright, 29, said he wanted the role but has no qualms with Bruce being given the job. "It's obviously an honour to captain your football team, but this has happened very quickly, the gaffer has made his decision, and he's given it to Brucey," he told the Ipswich Evening Star. "I don't think anyone had much time to think about it to be honest and I am sure that Brucey will be a good captain for us."
