Wright spent two months out of the side before returning in the last three matches and the Dutchmen is hoping to follow in his footsteps.
He told the Green'Un: "Every footballer has his ups and downs, all over the world, and I'm no different. You have to fight hard to get back into the team, I know this. It's frustrating not being in the team at the moment.
"But I take inspiration from someone like David Wright. He was out of the squad for a long spell but is now back in the side and doing well.
"All I can do is train hard, keep up my fitness with reserve games and wait for my chance to play for the first team again."
