Thistle snare keeper Esson

Inverness Caledonian Thistle have snapped up experienced free agent goalkeeper Ryan Esson.

The 28-year-old was available on a free transfer after leaving Hereford United following the end of a short-term deal.

Esson made almost 90 appearances for Aberdeen before leaving to join Shrewsbury Town in 2006.

He has agreed a two-year contract at the Caledonian Stadium.

Meanwhile, manager Craig Brewster has yet to make a decision on the future of former Manchester United youngster Sean Evans.

Speaking after Thistle's 3-2 friendly defeat to Ross County, he said of the trialist: "I thought Sean had a quiet game and he looked quite nervous.

"I haven't made my mind up yet and I will speak to him soon."
