Thistle hand trial to Dinning

Inverness Caledonian Thistle have handed a trial to veteran midfielder Tony Dinning.

The former Wigan Athletic and Stoke City midfielder is currently contracted to Chester City, but has been told he is free to leave the League Two club during the current transfer window.

"We'll have a look at him and make a decision," manager Craig Brewster told the club's official website.

"We're certainly trying to add to the squad. The board have been generous. They have backed me all the way."

Meanwhile, Brewster has confirmed that out-of-favour striker Rory McAllister is set to leave the club for a lower division side.
