Inverness Caledonian Thistle manager Craig Brewster is hoping to extend Phil McGuire's loan stay at the club. The 27-year-old defender joined Caley in the summer on loan from Dunfermline, however, his initial spell at the Caledonian Stadium is due to expire in January. "I have been speaking to Phil McGuire's agent this week about the possibility of extending his stay here," revealed Brewster. "Phil knows how highly I rate him and that's the important thing. "I think he is enjoying life up here and let's hope he can continue to do that. "Usually when players enjoy being somewhere they are happy to stay." McGuire has made nine appearances for the SPL side so far this season.
