Rankin takes the plaudits

Inverness boss Charlie Christie was as pleased as punch with his side's 3-2 comeback win against Falkirk, reserving special praise for two-goal hero John Rankin.

Caley Thistle roared back from two goals down to take the points, with Rankin netting his first goals fro the club late on to seal the fightback.

Christie told the Press & Journal: "I am particularly pleased John Rankin is now off and running after scoring his two goals, having done so well in the First Division.

"You could see from the response of the other players how happy they were for him. There were guys running 50 yards to join in the celebrations."

Rankin moved to Inverness in the summer from Ross County and had previously failed to find the net in ten SPL appearances.
