Rankin eyes big finish

Inverness Caledonian Thistle midfielder John Rankin has targeted a seventh-placed finish but is aware that the club are still not safe from relegation.

The Highlanders finished seventh last year and former Ross County star Rankin is keen to do his bit in the last five games of the campaign to lift the club up from their current ninth place.

Rankin said: "We still need three points to be absolutely safe, so I don't think there's nothing to play for at all.

"We have five games left and we think we're capable of winning them all, just like we did last year.

"Our aim is to finish seventh, but there are four teams fighting for the position."
