Proctor set for Caley exit

Inverness Caledonian Thistle midfielder David Proctor is on the verge of completing a move to Dundee United.

The clubs are close to agreeing a fee for the 22-year-old, who Caley value at £40,000, and the player is likely to be given permission to open contract talks with the Terrors on Tuesday.

Inverness director of football Graeme Bennett said: "David is not in manager Charlie Christie's plans and United and ourselves are now pretty close on a fee.

"David is a fine lad who deserves his chance and all going well he could be talking directly to United sometime today."

Proctor, who is currently fighting his way back to full fitness following shoulder surgery, has scored three times in 31 league outings since joining Caley from Hibernian in 2003.
