Inverness Caledonian Thistle defender David Proctor refused to gloat after helping the Highlanders beat his former side Dundee United 1-0 at Tannadice.
The 23-year-old endured a disappointing spell with the Terrors before being offloaded by boss Craig Levein and returning to Inverness in the summer.
Proctor said: "Things didn't work out for me or the manager (Craig Brewster) at United, but we're at Inverness now and that's where our focus lies.
"Every player wants to do well when they return to their old club and Craig Levein has made United very hard to beat, so this win is a big one for us.
"They threw Garry Kenneth up front. That's what Craig does if his side's losing and they had Lee Wilkie up there too.
"It was just a case of getting your head to as many balls as possible and then defending the second ball."
