New boys delight Brewster

Inverness Caledonian Thistle boss Craig Brewster was delighted with the performances of his three new signings in the 3-0 Scottish Cup win over Partick Thistle.

Hibs duo Filipe Morais and Thierry Gathuessi have joined on loan until the end of the season, while Latvian defender Pavels Mihadjuks also showed up well against the Jags.

Brewster said: "Filipe didn't even train with us. He arrived on Friday night and I felt that his pace and enthusiasm could hurt Partick and it certainly did.

"I have seen him a few times and played against him once. I made a few enquiries and everyone I spoke to said he could do a job for us.

"I hope he continues that. He offers something different. We don't have much pace in the side, but he gives us a spark and a lift.

"Pavels at the back also did well. He just loves to defend and was impressive and I was also delighted that Thierry Gathuessi could come off the bench at the end."
