Munro ready for Thistle recall

Inverness Caledonian Thistle captain Grant Munro is expected to make his first appearance since the opening day of the season when Craig Brewster's side face St Mirren this weekend.

Munro suffered a knee injury in the win at Aberdeen on August 9 but has returned to training this week.

Brewster told the Press & Journal: "Grant will play in our reserve game against Falkirk in Linlithgow. He's been looking good again in training.

"I thought Grant was outstanding in the first game, as I thought the whole team were, and you just have to get on with it when players are missing."

However, both David Proctor and Russell Duncan will miss the St Mirren game, with Brewster adding: "David has an ankle injury but trained for the last two days, while Russell still has a slight problem. Saturday's game is too soon for them both."
