McSwegan nearing Caley debut

Former Scotland striker Gary McSwegan is hoping to make his Inverness Caledonian Thistle debut against his former club Rangers on October 14.
The 36-year-old was severely lacking in match fitness when he joined Caley from Ross County in August, but proved he is now in top shape with an impressive display for the reserves against Dundee United on Tuesday.
Inverness boss Charlie Christie said: "That was the best Gary has played since he joined the club. He has now had enough reserve games to get him up to match sharpness.
"He will now start to come in to my consideration for the first-team squad where his experience can make a contribution.
"Gary has worked very hard to prove himself here and we are pleased with him."
