Inverness Caledonian Thistle have allowed Romania international Marius Niculae to return to his homeland as speculation about the striker's future intensifies.
Inverness, who value the 27-year-old at £500,000, have already turned down bids from Kaiserslautern, Kayserispor and PAOK Thessaloniki for the player.
Director of football Graeme Bennett told the Press & Journal: "Marius is going back to Romania for the week while the rest of the players are in Denmark, with the blessing of the manager and the board.
"At this stage we've rejected offers for him, but things might change this week. But unless there's movement from clubs interested in him he'll be back at the club next Monday.
"He's been fair and up front with us and it would be no disaster for us if we were to keep him for next season.
"Kasierslautern and the Turkish side Kayserispor are the front-runners for Marius. We've made an investment in the player and we want that money back.
"We aren't being greedy, we're looking for an acceptable offer."
Niculae scored ten times in 38 appearances for Inverness last term.
