Highlanders snare Gillet

Inverness Caley Thistle boss Terry Butcher has sealed a sixth summer signing, with left-back Kenny Gillet signing a one-year contract with the Highlanders.

The 24-year-old Frenchman has opted to try his luck in Scotland after three seasons in England with Barnet and joins Jonny Tuffey, Chris Innes, Kevin McCann, Gil Blumenshtein and Max Johnson in the arrivals lounge.

Butcher told the Press & Journal: "I expect Kenny to be our first-choice left-back. It was an area we needed to fill, which was obvious from the pre-season games.

"He did not cost us money in terms of a transfer fee as he is a free agent, but it was not cheap to put a deal together to bring him here."
