Caley confirm Wilson exit

Inverness Caledonian Thistle will allow veteran midfielder Barry Wilson to leave the club in the new year.

The 36-year-old has spent nearly a decade with the Highlanders during two spells with the club, but boss Craig Brewster has confirmed that Wilson will be allowed to move on in the coming weeks.

He told the Press and Journal: "Barry has been told we will not be giving him another contract.

"It was an extremely tough decision to make but Barry wanted a decision as soon as possible. We will do whatever we can to look after him.

"He has been here for a long time and has been a great servant. What he has done for Caley Thistle is one of the major reasons why the club has done so well over the years.

"I would imagine there would be other clubs keen to take him and let's hope he gets sorted out."
