Buddies make Wyness move

Inverness Caledonian Thistle boss Craig Brewster has confirmed that St Mirren are keen to try and sign striker Dennis Wyness this summer.

The 31-year-old is out of contract in the summer, with talks over a new deal having been shelved in recent weeks.

Brewster told the Press & Journal: "I have not spoken to Gus Macpherson, but I am aware of St Mirren's interest. It has not closed the door on Dennis staying at the club.

"Any player out of contract can speak to anybody else six months before their contract runs out. It does not affect the situation here at all.

"I will be speaking to Dennis and Barry Wilson in the coming weeks and we will take it from there.

"When Barry is on form he is still a major bonus for this club and I will be speaking to him in the next week.

"Since he has come back from St Johnstone there has been a different Barry Wilson, one I really like."
