Inverness Caledonian Thistle manager Craig Brewster still hopes to sign Richie Byrne in January.

The 27-year-old defender is currently on trial at Walsall as he battles back from a persistent hamstring problem.

Brewster said: "I've said all along Richie would have to be 100 per centfit before I made a move for him.

"He's only looking after himself by going to Walsall as he can't sign for anyone until January and he's seeing what options he's got. I wouldn't rule out a move for him if he was available in January."
