Brewster cool on contracts

Inverness Caledonian Thistle player-manager Craig Brewster has warned several of his squad not to try and broker new contracts on a par with Romanian striker Marius Niculae.

Ross Tokely, Rusell Duncan and Dennis Wyness are all currently in talks over new deals with the Highlanders, but Brewster says that the club will not be bullied into offering big money.

He told the Press & Journal: "I take quite a hands-on role in the contract talks and everyone wants to get the best deals for themselves.

"They are realistic, as are we and I would like to give them everything they want, but this club has always had a similar structure between players when it comes to contracts.

"Marius Niculae coming in last year broke the structure slightly, but the chairman picks up most of his salary and there is still parity between the rest of the players."
