Ryan Christie has goal, assist and red card as Inverness end Aberdeen's run

Ryan Christie scored one, set up another and was later sent off as Inverness won 2-1 to end Aberdeen's 100 per cent record in the Ladbrokes Premiership.

Miles Storey was teed up by Christie to open the scoring at the Caledonian Stadium before the home-grown midfielder buried a terrific effort from long range to double the hosts' advantage.

Ashton Taylor pulled one back before half-time but a dogged second-half display from Caley Thistle saw them hold on to take three points.

Christie was dismissed in stoppage time for his second yellow card, both for fouls on Graeme Shinnie, but it had no effect on the outcome.

Celtic were unable to take advantage of Aberdeen's slip-up as they passed up a series of chances against Hearts in a goalless draw at Parkhead.

The result took the champions to within four points of the Dons but Ronny Deila's side should have capitalised on the league leaders' defeat to a greater extent.

Indeed, it could have been worse for the champions. Had defender Efe Ambrose not sacrificed himself by being sent off for denying Sam Nicholson a clear goalscoring opportunity in the third of three added minutes, the visitors might have grabbed an undeserved winner.

Dundee came back from the dead to secure a share of the spoils after a thriller against Ross County at Dens Park.

Paul Hartley's side were trailing 3-1 at half-time to County, but a second-half double from Rory Loy deflated Jim McIntyre's men whose task was not helped by the dismissal of captain Andrew Davies in the 53rd minute.

County took a 19th-minute lead through Liam Boyce before Greg Stewart levelled for the hosts a minute later.

Dundee defender James McPake headed an own goal to put the visitors back ahead and Michael Gardyne looked to have killed the contest when he scored for County two minutes before the break, but the game was to change drastically as it finished in a 3-3 draw.

Hamilton fought back from behind to claim a 2-1 victory at Kilmarnock thanks to Ali Crawford.

Accies had found themselves trailing to a Greg Kiltie goal at half-time at Rugby Park, but hit back in the second half to secure the three points when Crawford set up Dougie Imrie for the equaliser before netting the winner himself.

St Johnstone piled more pressure on Dundee United manager Jackie McNamara by staging a remarkable comeback to win 2-1 at McDiarmid Park despite playing most of the match with 10 men.

Saints had goalkeeper Alan Mannus sent off in the 22nd minute after he conceded the penalty from which United took the lead through Billy McKay's spot-kick.

Graham Cummins equalised with a 64th-minute header and substitute Simon Lappin's 80th-minute winner left the Tannadice side reflecting on a sixth defeat in nine Premiership outings.

Stephen Craigan enjoyed a winning start as Motherwell caretaker manager as his side edged out bottom club Partick Thistle 2-1 at Fir Park.

Appropriately for a man who put through his own net 12 times in his career, Craigan's reign was kick-started by a Freddie Frans own goal in the 26th minute and his former Motherwell team-mate Scott McDonald doubled the advantage in the 69th minute.

But the win was far from comfortable as Thistle struck the woodwork either side of David Amoo netting only their third goal of the season within two minutes of coming off the bench.
