Russell Aware of Peterhead Threat

Caley Jags are not going to underestimate their lower-division rivals in tonight's Co-op Insurance Cup tie at the TCS. CALEY JAGS midfielder Russell Duncan insists his side are prepared to avoid a potential giant-killing in tonight's cup-tie with Peterhead. The tables have turned from Sunday's game, where ICT were underdogs, to the Caley Jags going into tonight's game as favourites to get through to the next round. But as Hamilton and Dundee have found already this week, the cup can throw up some surprises and Russell is certain his team-mates will not fall into the trap of underestimating the opposition. He told BBC Scotland: "We know we will be expected to beat Peterhead. We dealt with that type of pressure towards the end of last season and I think we are a more mature team now. "If we go about things in the right manner, I'm positive we will get the right result. "However we can't underestimate Peterhead as they have guys like Dennis Wyness, Bobby Mann and Martin Bavidge, who will be confident they can cause an upset on Wednesday."   Subscribe to Updates Via Email | Recieve News Updates Via RSS Latest Topics From the Caley Thistle Message Board Click here to share your views with other Caley Jags Fans
