Rooney In Striker Showdown

08 December 2010 19:15
It's battle of the SPL's top scorers on Saturday, as Rooney goes head-to-head with Miller. CALEY JAGS striker Dani Sanchez reckons Adam Rooney can win the battle of the top-scorers on Saturday. Rooney is second-top of the scoring charts behind Rangers' Kenny Miller with 11 goals to the Scotland striker's 18 this term. And the hot shots square up at the TCS at the weekend, with Spaniard Sanchez hoping Rooney can close the gap on Miller. He told the Press & Journal: “Adam is on fire right now and he will be relishing the Rangers game. "Kenny Miller and him are the two best attackers in the SPL just now and you just have to look at the scoring charts. “Miller has been in exceptional form for leaders Rangers and everyone knows he is a quality player. “However, Adam has really made the step up to the SPL in style and isn’t afraid of anyone. “He’s got a lot of self-belief which every forward needs so you wouldn’t put anything past him. Both he and Miller look as though they could score every time they set foot on the pitch. "I’m just hoping Adam comes out on top this weekend."   Subscribe to Updates Via Email | Recieve News Updates Via RSS Latest Topics From the Caley Thistle Message Board Click here to share your views with other Caley Jags Fans
