Refs Strike Threatens ICT Game

They weren't bluffing! With the referees' strike still on, our game could be off - but it's business as usual for Tel and the boys. A STRIKE by Scotland’s top referees may force the Caley Jags' trip to play poor victimised Celtic at Mopehead to be postponed this weekend. The full fixture list in the Scottish Premier League is under threat after more than 30 Category One officials voted to take strike action in protest to mounting criticism. But Caley Jags gaffer Terry Butcher is preparing for this weekend’s games until they are told otherwise. Butcher told the Inverness Courier: "I don’t really want to comment on it, but as far as we are concerned the game is on this Saturday and we will play Celtic accordingly. "We haven’t heard anything. We have just seen what has been on the internet or on the TV and things like that." The Scottish Football Association and referees have been in dialogue this week with the organisation vowing to do what it can to halt the strike.
