Mixu relishing reunion with trio

Paatelainen freed Brian Kerr at the start of the season after he was frozen out of action at Easter Road and the former Scotland cap is now trying to resurrect his career under new Caley Thistle manager Terry Butcher.[LNB]Last month Paatelainen also allowed Thierry Gathuessi and Filipe Morais to join the Highlanders for the rest of the season after they fell out of his first-team plans in the capital.[LNB]The Hibs boss is aware of the potential for one or all three of the players to show his decision to release them was a flawed one when they face their old team.[LNB]However, he insists he is not dwelling on the confrontation with the Inverness triumvirate as his team seek a first-ever win in the Highland capital.[LNB]He said "There is every chance there could be a few former Hibs players playing for Inverness and it will be good to see those players again.[LNB]"They were good servants here but they didn't quite play regularly and it was better for their careers that they moved on.[LNB]"These things happen all the time and they probably will feature against us.[LNB]"I don't know if they will have extra motivation playing against us but they will obviously want to show I was wrong to let them go.[LNB]"We know their strengths and weaknesses, thoroughly, and it so often happens that an ex-player comes and bites back.[LNB]"But if you worry about things like that why let players go?"[LNB]Meanwhile, Paatelainen has insisted that striker Colin Nish will remain at the club following interest from an unnamed team in China.[LNB]The former Kilmarnock and Dunfermline player has reportedly been targeted by the Chinese outfit, whose transfer window remains open, but Paatelainen has played down the link.[LNB]He said: "There's nothing there, he stays with us. It is just a rumour, although there was a question asked by an agent as to whether he would be available, but that was it.[LNB]"He's not a player we want to lose, at the moment anyway. He's been taking part in the matches and done well.[LNB]"He gives us something we wouldn't have if he was to go and it is important we have as many options as possible."[LNB][LNB] Inverness v Hibernian.
