Mitchell plays down relegation clash

With the Bairns four points adrift of their Highland counterparts at the basement, the stakes are massive at Falkirk Stadium.[LNB]Defeat for John Hughes' side would leave them facing an uphill battle in their bid to stave off the threat of relegation.[LNB]Amid a worldwide financial crisis, demotion for any club could also be potentially disastrous but Scotland Under-21 defender Mitchell insists tomorrow is just another match for Falkirk's players.[LNB]He said: "We just need to take it as another game; the gaffer has been saying to us to take whatever we do in training into Saturday.[LNB]"The stakes are higher this weekend but it's just football. There are a lot of other things in life that are more important and you just take it as another game.[LNB]"If you go out on Saturday and play without pressure, you play better.[LNB]"We went up there a couple of weeks ago in the cup and won and we just need to do that again; I'm sure we will.[LNB]"It's about applying yourself and doing the right things.[LNB]"We need to be mentally prepared for Saturday to do the job.[LNB]"Training has just been the same; nothing changes and the boys love it.[LNB]"If we keep doing things right, we will be okay."[LNB]Aside from Falkirk's collective objective to be playing SPL football next season, Mitchell has an individual target of trying to dislodge the experienced Jackie McNamara from the Bairns' right-back slot.[LNB]Former Celtic and Scotland defender McNamara has been a regular this season since signing in the summer but Mitchell is after his place.[LNB]He added: "When Jackie first came in, I thought he would play, which he has.[LNB]"But being around him, watching him in training, listening to what he has to say and watching him in games, he has been brilliant for me because I can learn so much from him.[LNB]"He is great to go to and speak to. He helps you out - you just need to go and ask.[LNB]"However, I do need to push him and I'm working hard in training."[LNB][LNB]
