Loanee McCann Looks To Rebuild
Defender Kevin McCann is focussed on playing for the Caley Jags. On-loan full-back Kevin McCann insists playing regularly with Inverness means more to him than a chance at European football. The 22-year-old is on loan at the Caledonian Stadium from Europa League hopefuls Hibs for six months as he tries to rebuild his career by helping the SPL new-boys cement their place in the top division. 2007 League Cup winner McCann has made just one league appearance since May 2008 after various injury woes, and despite now being fully fit knows he has dropped down the Easter Road pecking order after the arrival of Michael Hart. And McCann is not concerned about missing out on the start of Hibs' Europa League adventure in Slovenia tonight, instead focussing on kick-starting his career at the Caley Jags. McCann said: "It was a bit of a no-brainer for me coming to Inverness. "When I saw Michael Hart come in, I knew I had to figure out what my future was. I knew I had to play this season after being out injured for more than two years. "It's also the last year of my contact so I really need to show people I can still play. I can make a fresh start here and focus on my football. "The move gives Inverness and everybody else the chance to see if I'm still good enough to play at this level."
