Inverness Snare First New Signing
The Caley Jags are closing in on 22-year-old midfielder Greg Tansey from Stockport County. Tansey, who has played more than 100 games for Stockport, has attracted interest from other English league clubs, but they would have to pay a fee because he is under 24. However ICT will not have to pay a fee for Stockport's player of the season because he has no contract offer from his current club and is free to cross borders. This alerted Terry Butcher, who has offered the midfielder a two year deal which he is set to sign. Speaking on his personal Twitter page, Tansey said: "I'm going to Inverness, looking forward to it." He then added: "It's pretty much a done deal".
