Basement boys Inverness will turn corner, says striker Anier
Inverness striker Henri Anier is confident they can find that extra spark to get off the bottom of the Ladbrokes Premiership.
Caley Thistle lost 1-0 at Aberdeen on Tuesday after three consecutive 1-1 draws and Anier feels they are not far away from getting the wins they need.
Ahead of Saturday's visit of St Johnstone, the Estonia international said: "We did well at Aberdeen and we just need a bit of luck, a bit of composure. I think it's coming.
"I'm confident and all the players feel the same. We need to be positive and keep our heads, as it's the only thing that will get us out of this. Everyone thinks we can climb the table, so hopefully we can take three points from Saturday.
"We've been playing some good football, but missing that little bit extra. It might be luck, but you can't hide behind that. We want to get three points and that's in everyone's mind."
Inverness are three points behind Hamilton with seven matches remaining, but Anier is remaining positive.
"It's the last part of the season, where games are important for everyone," he said. "But we need to be mentally strong, which is a big part if teams are to get results they want.
"Positivity is one of the main factors. We've been training hard every day on tactics and techniques - we know what we need to do from the coaches, so we just need to be mentally ready.
Anier is yet to score for Inverness after 10 appearances, but the 26-year-old is refusing to become obsessed with finding the net.
"It would be a bonus," the former Motherwell and Dundee United player said. "Football is a team game and I'm a striker, so I'd like to score. It's the greatest feeling. But everyone is working hard across the park and I'm sure it'll come.
"We just need to create chances to put ourselves in position to score those goals."
Richard Foster and Danny Swanson have been fined four weeks' wages by St Johnstone for clashing with each other against Hamilton.
The pair were suspended by the Perth club pending an investigation after being sent off at half-time in last weekend's 1-0 Ladbrokes Premiership defeat at the SuperSeal stadium for an on-field altercation seconds after the interval whistle sounded.
Both were also banned for the 1-0 home win over Hearts at McDiarmid Park on Wednesday and Saturday's trip.
St Johnstone announced the punishment in a statement published on their official website and revealed some of the money from the fines will help pay travel costs for Saints fans for remaining away matches.
Boss Tommy Wright claimed he had already drawn a line under the incident on Monday.
Turning his attention to bottom side Inverness, the Northern Irishman insisted the Highlanders have demonstrated their abilities too often this season for winning three points to be taken for granted.
Richie Foran's team are without a win in five games but Wright, whose side sit in fourth place, noted that they have already beaten Saints and Rangers, and drawn with champions Celtic.
He said: "It has been a difficult season for them and a strange season for them.
"I think they ended up finishing seventh last season and the team really hasn't changed that much.
"Richie will tell you they have drawn too many games and haven't won enough games.
"But they have beaten us at their place in the last minute. They have beaten Rangers, they have taken points off Celtic in Inverness.
"I watched them against Aberdeen and Aberdeen deserved to win but Inverness made it really difficult for them.
"So it will be a difficult game to win but it is not a game where we should have any fear.
"We should go into the game with confidence after the performance we put in against Hearts."
