Innes aims for new run

Veteran defender Chris Innes hopes Inverness can kick-start another unbeaten away run at Motherwell. Caley Thistle lost away from home in the league for the first time since November 2009 at St Johnstone on January 2. But Terry Butcher's men bounced back from the setback with a 2-0 Scottish Cup win over Elgin last weekend, ending a winless run of six games. Innes is aiming for Inverness to claim a second successive win as they return to Clydesdale Bank Premier League action at Fir Park. "We were going extremely well and riding the crest of a wave," he said. "Most teams have a blip in the season and hopefully that's ours done and dusted. "Confidence is back up - not that it was ever really a great issue, we still believed in what we were doing and how we were doing it. "But you have these wee spells and it's testament to the character of the club, the boys in the team and the management to bounce back from this. Obviously we're hoping to continue that at Motherwell."
