Hibs at the double to sink Caley

Callum Booth and Lewis Stevenson were on target as Hibernian claimed a fourth successive Clydesdale Bank Premier League win with a 2-0 victory over Inverness at Easter Road. Hibs enjoyed the majority of possession in the first half but they struggled to make the breakthrough, and Victor Palsson had a header blocked on the line. However, they finally made their pressure tell when Booth lofted a volley over Ryan Esson and into the visitors' net after 58 minutes to open the scoring. Hibs struggled to find a way through for a second before a half-cleared ball dropped for Stevenson and his deflected effort found the net from 25 yards to seal victory after 89 minutes. Adam Rooney twice went close to getting Inverness back in to the game, but each time was denied by Hibs goalkeeper Graham Stack.
