Terry Butcher admitted poor finishing is costing his Inverness side after watching them throw away the lead against struggling Hamilton Accies.
Dani Sanchez fired Caley ahead on 18 minutes but Mickael Antoine-Curier equalised from the spot to earn Accies a 1-1 draw after Ross Tokely felled Gary McDonald in first-half stoppage time. A frustrated Butcher bemoaned the dropping of two points which left Caley without an SPL win in nine matches and blamed poor finishing for the stalemate.
"I'm very disappointed," said Butcher. "It was very similar to the St Mirren game where we took the lead and were doing well but didn't go on from there."
He added: "Earlier in the season, we were doing really well in the final third, but it just doesn't seem to be quite happening for us now.
"The defence and the midfield areas I'm happy with but we never really tested the Hamilton goalkeeper enough.
"We had opportunities at 1-0 to go on and win the game. It feels as if we're never going to reach that 30-point mark."
Accies manager Billy Reid was relatively pleased with the point, despite ruing a glaring late miss by Paixao, who somehow headed against a post from close range.
"The ball's just dropped on top of him, but there's no doubt it was a fantastic opportunity," said Reid. "To be fair, Inverness had a chance just after that, which was cleared off the line, so the draw was probably a fair result.
"I'm happy with the point. We could have just come to Inverness and sat in, but we didn't do that.
"We tried to force the issue and had a real go, so to have come out of the game with a point is a decent result for us."
