Fitz expected Butcher bounce

Butcher - along with another former Well manager Maurice Malpas - has transformed the fortunes of the Highland club, who are unbeaten in their four games at the helm so far.[LNB]Fitzpatrick knows all about the qualities Butcher possesses as a manager after being given his break in the Motherwell first team by the former England and Rangers star.[LNB]He was handed his senior debut a day after his 18th birthday and has since gone on to establish himself as a regular in the first team at Fir Park.[LNB]That is why he knew Butcher would be able to bring out the best in a group of players lacking in confidence and rooted to the bottom of the Scottish Premier League.[LNB]And, despite being written off by most people, he now fully expects Inverness to avoid the drop this season.[LNB]"Terry has brought in the passion and that's what teams down at the bottom need, so good luck to them," said Fitzpatrick.[LNB]"He has been a captain in his playing days and he is a natural leader and that's how the players will look at him.[LNB]"His man-management skills are important but his passion in the dressing room is probably the biggest factor."[LNB]Inverness have earned draws with Celtic and Dundee United and defeated Kilmarnock and Hibernian since Butcher's arrival.[LNB]Fitzpatrick added: "Terry and Maurice can't do much now with no transfers so they just have to work with the players they've got.[LNB]"They need to try to keep morale and confidence up and that's something Terry is very strong at and that's why things are going well just now.[LNB]"It will be a confidence thing, trying to get them on a run of results and that's what has happened so far."[LNB]Fitzpatrick is relishing the prospect of facing his former management team when Motherwell travel to the Caledonian Stadium this weekend.[LNB]And with a decent run of their own - their Homecoming Scottish Cup exit to St Mirren aside - he hopes the honeymoon will soon be over for Caley Thistle.[LNB]He said: "There are a lot of boys in the dressing room who have played under both managers and that should add an extra edge to the game when we play them on Saturday.[LNB]"We are all looking forward to the game.[LNB]"We have done well ourselves so hopefully we can keep that going and kick on this season. Hopefully we can get a win on Saturday.[LNB]"They are having a honeymoon period at the moment but it's always a hard place to go to so we know it will be a hard game.[LNB]"It's always hard at Inverness; they've always been a tough team to play, so that won't be any different.[LNB]"With Terry and Maurice there now, there will be a bit more passion so it's going to be a hard place to go."[LNB][LNB]
