Duff: I Nearly Quit The Game

The Caley Jags saved my career after Aberdeen nightmare, says Stuart. CALEY JAGS defender Stuart Duff nearly quit football at Aberdeen - before ICT stepped in to save his career. Duff became frustrated by a lack of first-team opportunities at his former club but is enjoying a new lease of life since exiting the Dons in the summer. The Caley Thistle right-back became disillusioned during his time with the Dons, but a loan move to the Highland Capital saw him reinvigorated. Duff told the Inverness Courier: "I wasn't enjoying it all just before I came to Inverness on loan last season. "I think I played two or three games at the start of last season for Aberdeen, then one or two here and there. "I felt personally that I deserved a crack at four or five games, but it wasn't to be and that was the manager's decision. "It got to the point where I knew I needed to be playing week in, week out and get games under my belt. "I had a couple of options to go out on loan, but once I heard about the interest from Inverness I didn't need to think twice about coming here. After a few days, I had a smile back on my face and I loved every minute of it."   Subscribe to Updates Via Email | Recieve News Updates Via RSS Latest Topics From the Caley Thistle Message Board Click here to share your views with other Caley Jags Fans
