Butcher wont slate Golobart

Inverness manager Terry Butcher refused to criticise debutant Roman Golobart after his blunder helped Aberdeen to a 2-1 victory. The Spaniard made his first appearance for Caley only a day after signing on loan from Wigan but it was a match to forget for the 19-year-old after his slip handed Scott Vernon the winning goal. But Butcher said he was pleased with the youngster's overall performance. He said: "I thought he did OK in the game. He made a mistake but the next thing he did was make a back heel pass to the full-back."He is a quality footballer, he is quick and strong but he just slipped and bang, it's a goal."I was disappointed the ball went back to him as we had good possession on the right wing."He will learn from that and the first person over to him was Richie Foran to get his chin up and tell him to get on with it."Roman apologised afterwards and so did Richie and Jonny Hayes because of the missed chances during the game."The players knew after the game that if they played the way they did in the second half in the first half they would have won that game. In the end I'm disappointed we didn't take something from the game."The Inverness manager was also diplomatic in his response when asked about a Jonny Hayes goal that was chalked off after the referee had blown his whistle for an earlier infringement. He added: "I'm not going to have a go at referees. I think it was a mistake but that's the way things are going for us at the moment. It's going to turn around for us, we just have to keep the faith and keep going."
