Butcher welcomes injury updates

Inverness boss Terry Butcher welcomed the positive news three of his players are making progress on the injury front. Following a few days off for the international break Richie Foran (knee) and Gil Blumenshtein (torn calf) have begun running stints again while groin strain victim Kevin McCann has made a major improvement and could face Hearts at Inverness on Saturday week. "Richie and Gil are back running in training and that's a big step forward," Butcher told the club's official website. "They are still maybe two to three weeks away from playing but they are heading in the right direction now and that's very encouraging. "Kevin's well on the mend and could even have had an outside chance of facing Hibs in Saturday's game at Easter Road, but he's ineligible in any case under the loan deal. "But if he works hard, he should be fully fit for the Hearts game. The players are refreshed after their break so we're in good shape as we work towards the trip to Edinburgh."
