Butcher wants home improvements

Inverness manager Terry Butcher has urged his players to put their home fans out of their misery and replicate their away form in the Highland capital.

Only Celtic and Rangers, by one point, have a better away record than Inverness in the Clydesdale Bank Premier League this season but only bottom club Hamilton have a worse home record.

Butcher wants to change that when Hibernian visit on Saturday, and said: "We have only managed to pick up four points at home and 17 away. Whilst we enjoy picking the points up, we have got to do well at home. The crowd have been magnificent, the two home stands are singing and behind the team. We have to reward them for that."

Butcher`s side have been one of the surprise packages since winning the Irn-Bru First Division and sit fifth in the SPL.

Butcher, who will have Russell Duncan back in his squad after a groin problem, added: "We had great home form last season, that saw us all the way to the title.

"If we can just pick up points at home, allied to our very good away form, we will still be up there. The table looks great but we want to make it look better."
