Butcher looks for finishing touches

Inverness manager Terry Butcher is looking for his players to add the finishing touches to some promising displays when they host Hamilton. Caley are without a victory in eight Clydesdale Bank Premier League matches but Butcher was happy with their performances during two away games in the space of four days. They came closest to scoring in a goalless draw at Motherwell last weekend and pushed Rangers all the way in a 1-0 defeat at Ibrox on Tuesday. The point at Fir Park ended a run of three SPL defeats and Butcher wants to go one step further when bottom club Hamilton visit the Tulloch Caledonian Stadium. "They are a good side and they are fighting for their lives," Butcher said. "We know what that feels like, and we also respect the way they can play and the players we have, but we want to get our game going. "We're on the back of two good performances. We played well at Motherwell, even better at Ibrox without having that cutting edge we've had in the past. I couldn't fault anyone on Tuesday night and I want to take that feeling into the Hamilton game. Even though we lost, heads are still high."
