Butcher Laments Poor Defending

Caley Jags gaffer Terry Butcher believes that his players are doing enough in forward positions to win games - but bad defending is costing them. Saturday's loss to Dundee Utd means it is now nine games since Caley Thistle kept a clean sheet And it was no surprise that  Butcher was disappointed by his side's defending at Tannadice. He said: "I felt that in spells we played some good football, but in other parts of the game we also looked like we were going to concede. "We just didn't get it right at either end and from our perspective the three goals we lost were very soft. "We certainly have a bit of work to do to improve defensively and that's disappointing because I felt the game was there for the taking."
