Butcher Admits Meekings Link
Ipswich defender is one of many names on Terry's radar. CALEY JAGS gaffer Terry Butcher insists Josh Meekings is “one of many names” that have been put forward to him as potential acquisitions for next season.The former Ipswich Town defender was released by the English Championship side earlier this month and reports this week suggested the 19-year-old was a transfer target for Butcher.The Caley Jags boss, however, is not currently considering a move for Meekings, maintaining that he has a plethora of names to sift through from agents and his contacts within football.Butcher also confirmed that contract talks with players whose deals expire at the end of the season will take place over the next couple of weeks.He told the Inverness Courier: “I would like to get it all done as soon as we can, preferably before the end of the season, but I have to take quite a few things into account, like the balance of the squad, so we’ll see what happens."
