Internazionale midfielder Patrick Vieira has admitted that injury has played havoc with his second season at the San Siro.

The 31-year-old France international has made just ten starts for Inter this season, having suffered with groin and calf problems.

Vieira told the Italian press: "This season has been frustrating. I had a long-term injury that kept me out for four months and so the hunger to play really built up inside me.

"I made a mistake when I played four games in two weeks and I immediately injured myself again.

"Now I have more time to train and to work on my condition. I still have work to do, but I am really satisfied with the way things are going."
