Tiredness costly says Branca

Internazionale's sporting director Marco Branca felt that tiredness was a major factor in the Serie A leaders being held to a goalless draw at home to Genoa.

Inter lead the way by just four points as a result of the stalemate, having won just once in their last five league games.

Branca told reporters: "The point earned should be read within the context of the many international players who were used in friendlies in midweek.

"Many of them played from the start for their countries and therefore came back rather tired.

"We have allowed the public and the media to become accustomed to a certain style of play, but it is normal that after a long and difficult season the players are a little tired."
