Stramaccioni calm amid Inter storm

Inter Milan coach Andrea Stramaccioni says he does not fear the sack even if his side crash out of the Europa League on Thursday and suffer defeat on Sunday in Serie A action against Sampdoria.
Inter face Tottenham in the last 16 of the Europa League at the San Siro, but Stramaccioni's future could hinge on how the Nerazzurri deal with their remaining fixtures in Serie A.
A shock 1-0 home defeat to lowly Bologna last Sunday meant Inter dropped to fifth, one point behind Fiorentina, while AC Milan are clinging to third place, four points ahead of their city rivals and currently in possession of the final Champions League spot for next season.
Eleventh-placed Sampdoria in Genoa, is unlikely to be an easy fixture for Inter, but Stramaccioni says he will only be judged on how his team perform by the end of the season.
"I think my work will be judged at the end of the season and not now, then it will be up to the president to make a decision," said the 37-year-old.
"We still have 10 games remaining and I'm sure we will turn things around."
Stramaccioni, meanwhile, will be looking for an extraordinary performance from his side when they host English Premier League side Tottenham, needing to overcome a crushing 3-0 first-leg defeat at White Hart Lane.
"I'd pay for a good result tomorrow (Thursday) night, and for that to continue in the league and do away with our ups and downs," he added.
"It will be difficult given the result of the first leg, but I'm convinced we will get something from this game and get back on track in Genoa on Sunday."
