New Inter blow as Maicon injures knee

Inter Milan full-back Maicon will return to Brazil for an operation after injuring his knee, the Italian club said on Tuesday.

Maicon has torn the cartilage in his right knee and will need to go under the knife, putting his availability for the start of the new season in less than two weeks at risk.
