Internazionale coach Jose Mourinho believes troubled striker Adriano still has a future at the club.
The controversial Brazilian was allowed to return to South America before the winter break amid reports of a series of run-ins with Mourinho.
However, the Inter coach insists the door remains open for his return when Serie A resumes later this month.
"I am determined to keep Adriano and I don't have indications that he will not be with us any more," he said
"He is an extra weapon for me and if he will train with enthusiasm and feel good, both physically and psychologically, there's a good chance he will play against Cagliari."
Meanwhile, Mourinho has played down reports of a potential swoop on Genoa to sign Argentinian hot-shot Diego Milito.
He added: "Every Serie A coach would like to have Milito at their disposal, but I think it will be really hard for Genoa to let him go."
