Inter confirm triple appeal

Internazionale have confirmed they are appealing the suspensions handed down to coach Jose Mourinho and midfield duo Esteban Cambiasso and Sulley Muntari.

Mourinho was fined 40,000 Euros and banned from the touchline for three Serie A matches after the Portuguese coach appeared to make a handcuff gesture during last weekend's stormy goalless draw with Sampdoria.

His gesture came after the first-half dismissals of Walter Samuel and Ivan Cordoba left nine-man Inter fighting an uphill battle.

After the match, Cambiasso and Muntari were handed two-match suspensions.

Cambiasso allegedly tried to punch a Sampdoria player on his way to the dressing room at half-time, while Ghana international Muntari repeatedly insulted the match officials as he was being substituted.

"FC Internazionale announce that it will appeal against the sanctions imposed today by the sporting judge against coach Jose Mourinho and players Esteban Cambiasso and Sulley Muntari," read a club statement.
